$YAXIS stakers act as yield portfolio managers in the yAxis vaults.
Stakers have a voice in allocating capital between strategies, and in return, receive a slice of the yield farming profits. Thereby, $YAXIS stakers are incentivized to identify and pursue the best yield strategies, increase TVL in the vaults, and earn a larger profit share.
With our revamped MetaVault launching on Saturday 24th April — we want to promote the mindset of token holders towards this end purpose and continually growing their share of this future profit stream.
The Great Harvest
Yield farming profits are used to buy back $YAXIS on Uniswap. These tokens are then deposited into a treasury address.
In August, ‘The Great Harvest’ will distribute 1 million tokens, up to $100,000,000 in value to our portfolio managers ($YAXIS stakers).
The Great Harvest will be primarily funded by the $YAXIS bought back from yield farming profits and backstopped as necessary from the treasury.
This is just the first distribution of yield farming profits. From Era 3 onwards — buy backs will be distributed in real-time.
It’s equivalent to a minimum of a 33% bonus to your YAXIS, assuming 100% staking levels.
At current staking levels, it’s a 62% bonus on top of whatever you have farmed by that time. So get farming.
The Champions Table
The Champions Table is a programme designed to promote $YAXIS stakers taking advantage of The Great Harvest by pledging your growing stack through Era 1.
We want you to farm, earn, claim and stake into this opportunity. That’s the spirit of the Great Harvest.
The more you farm by the end of the Era, the higher portion of the 1 million tokens you will earn.
Only the strongest shall split this Harvest.
Era 2 Gauges
In addition, as discussed in the next era of yAxis, Era 2 introduces Gauges to the Canonical Vaults, which allows for weighted voting by $YAXIS stakers to boost emissions to their preferred vault.
The longer you lock, the more voting power you have, and the more you can tilt the allocation of emissions in your favor. This is inspired by Curve Finance’s tokenomic model.
Vault gauges create even greater incentives to farm, stake, and hold your $YAXIS and add another dimension of token utility.
But yAxis didn’t just stop there. Staking your $YAXIS for 3+ months in Era 2’s Vault Gauges is another way to earn a share of The Great Harvest.
