The yAxis Project is dedicated to making DeFi easy and secure. Our seamless UI and our set-and-forget MetaVault v2 have provided thousands of users with a hassle-free experience. And, we continuously work to secure our protocol and maintain a proven track record of protecting user funds.

Tomorrow we kick off Era 2, and take the next step in making DeFi even easier.

Website Update

Our homepage will be refreshed at yaxis.io (tomorrow)

With the launch of MetaVault v2, we noticed there was an education gap that caused some friction during user onboarding. This is the core challenge that we sought to address with this homepage update.

Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new.

The new yaxis.io features a high-level onboarding experience that educates web visitors on our vaults, YAXIS staking, governance and Partner Programme. Towards the bottom of the homepage, you’ll notice new callouts about security and resource documentation.

Invest

This portion of the website highlights the value proposition of our upcoming Canonical Vaults (v3). We chose layman’s terms to explain how users can “invest” their digital assets to generate returns.

Clicking through this onboarding flow, visitors will be taken directly into the app’s vault deposit page. This makes it easy to view supported assets and APY figures.

Earn

In keeping with our layman’s language, the “Earn” section of the homepage explains how easy and profitable it can be to stake your YAXIS to earn more YAXIS. It really is that easy. 😉

We kept the Earn onboarding flow short and sweet, allowing visitors to quickly click through to the app to see the potential returns from staking YAXIS.

Govern

As a community owned and run project, it’s important to explain how new users can participate in the project. The “Govern” section of the website highlights our use of quadratic voting to ensure smaller holders have a voice in the future of the project.

And most importantly, this page provides direct access to the heart of the yAxis community — our Discord and Forum.

Live Chat Integration

Finally, we realize not all users will join our Discord or the Forum. As yAxis Project continues to shift towards a more mainstream and institutional audience, we wanted to provide the type of support that these users expect to see. Real-time answers provided by real people.

This is where our new live chat comes in.

The chat feature is located in the bottom right hand corner of the homepage. Clicking the chat button reveals a chat window that connects directly into the yAxis Discord server. This allows us to chat directly with web visitors, collaboratively handoff support requests, and manage multiple concurrent chat sessions.

We expect this feature to not only reduce onboarding friction, but also build trust with users.

We look forward to hearing your feedback in Discord. Maybe even through the chat!

Special thanks to @haz for working with us on this bespoke chat.
